1001 Albums Summary

Like floating on a river made of autumnal leaves. I particularly loved 'Cloudy'. Very pretty with plucky strings and whimsical, nostalgical lyrical musings. Some slightly heavier moments in there too, musically at least. Really liked it overall! 3.5/5

I enjoyed some of the funk and grooves to this album, but I'm ultimately more of a lyric and personality-focused person when it comes to investing in an artist. While I found it pleasant enough, it became background soundtrack music to me - especially the latter half. I felt a bit like Emma Stone in La La Land when Ryan Gosling is trying to explain jazz music to her and it ultimately flies over her head. I get it's good, I just realistically won't ever go back to this unless I need background coffee music. Sorry! 2.5/5
