1001 Albums Summary

It's a proper album. It's curated with a track list that builds tension, some surprising moments like soft shock. Overall it's better than the singles but I probably won't come back to it much. It feels like an album that wants to be played right through and I'm not sure I like it enough to listen to it that way.

The first half felt very bland to me. The second half was definitely more expansive but overall I didn't feel much for the music. There were no shining lights that stood out to me and drew me into the album. I'm sure there is some interesting lyrical content wrapped up in here but this is nothing like the early Bowie. Full of energy and originality.

It's young Kenny at the peak of his powers. Enough said.
