Listening statistics & highlights
I like the first few tracks enough, but the whole album feels a bit samey in sound and vibe. I Zimbra is a cool start to an album, and I liked the different feel Drugs provided. Their default sound reminds me of Bowie. Like 'Fame' (1975), 'Let's Dance'. I think this is just cool 70s music.
Another great intro track on a 70s album - maybe that was a 'thing'? Ramble Tamble is 7 mins and I Heard It Through The Grapevine sits at 11, and everything else barely makes 3 minutes. These are the most progressive rock pieces, and that probably is why I like them most. I already knew and liked Up Around the Bend too. Good, old school rock. Alt-J's 'Left Hand Free' was probably trying to capture this vibe.
