Graceland
Paul SimonSo fun, lots of international sounds and flair.

I could hear right away how this band was influential, esp to many early/mid 200s bands. The sound was more modern than I expected, but after a few songs I began to feel like it was a bit repetitive and the melodies all sounded a little to same ish. When a song started playing and I was like "ooh this is cool, what makes the sound so different" I looked at my phone and realized the album was over and Spotify had started auto playing a Led Zeppelin song ... So yeah. If their album was a led zeppelin album I'd love it I guess. 65/100
Too much screaming too much angst too much talk rapping
Can't believe I haven't heard this, really enjoyed it and will explore his entire songbook more!
Too slow and somber. I don't mind angry or agitated, this was just too despondent for me
Not as tuned in as his later works, more jam bandish and country/folk. 7/10
Can't tell if they influenced the clash and Duran Duran, or the opposite. Ok new wave but not my fave.
Perhaps because every song is so popular and overplayed after 50 years this just doesn't feel as impactful to me.
