Jump bass. Trippy album but inconsistent. Very English.some average ideas for n there but real high spots are the Indian spiritual time and day in the life. She’s leaving home is mawkish. Ringo and John lean towards the dada while George and John extend themselves musically. Lyrically focussed on banal everyday life of English people, but with a drug fuelled lens. Songs are too long, too many mid songs, mix is stereo divided and not cohesive, vocals are muddy, bass is high in mix..

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Feb 23 2025

Hard work. Driving industrial noise like a train which was impressive but tedious after a while. What kind of world dies this person inhabit? Awful for them and unlikeable for me

Feb 25 2025

Terribly directionless start saved by there 2nd track, meanders in there middle but seconds half is pure unadulterated Queen.

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Feb 27 2025

Awesome, what an album.

Central Reservation by Beth Orton
Mar 03 2025

Wannabe Joni Mitchell whines her way into the same discount bargain box as Dido

Debut by Björk
Mar 04 2025

Pretty awesome

Viva Hate by Morrissey
Mar 05 2025

I reckon this is a grower. Initially sounds overly baggy and simple and honest as a sound but raw and urban and cyclical and revisitable

John Prine by John Prine
Mar 07 2025

Pretty good fun but not my genre really

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Mar 10 2025

Fucking nuts awesome

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Mar 15 2025

I know we’re supposed to be in awe of Prince and he does have swagger and cool funk arrangements but somehow it didn’t resonate with me. Perhaps it’s the drums which are of their time and detracting from the whole. A guilty 3.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Mar 19 2025

Pop rock at its best

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Apr 03 2025

I don’t think this is their best album to be honest but it has a raw quality that gives it a good vibe. Up the maiden!

New Wave by The Auteurs
Apr 06 2025

It’s alright. There’sa level of wit and wetness to that lyrics which I like and the tunes are nice enough. Just a bit boring though, like a conversation with as nice acquaintance, you soon find yourself reaching for excuses to move on

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Apr 12 2025

Just a copy of primal scream! Why bother?!
