1001 Albums Summary

This was the first complete listen to entire album in one sitting. I was very pleased with the mix. The mix of bass and lead guitars with the drums was very effective in my Grado phones. The album was in my personal collection, so I didn't need to use Amazon Music. On a favorite scale, I would say a 6 or 7 now. In my late 70s, I'm leaning to more jazz. Cream's blues do stray too far from my current taste.

The album is definitely aimed at young listeners. It seems heavy on percussion and chords. The mixing is solid. I would have to listen to this several times before I could comment on the lyrics. At my age, I don’t have the patience.

Let It Bleed is a very bluesy album. With 9 songs the album still fills a good listening session, with two extended cuts: Midnight Rambler and You Can't Always Get What You Want.
