Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Elton John
I should like this album more than I do. I like the upbeat, campy rock and roll on the second half of the record. The first half despite it’s beautiful songwriting isn’t my favourite but Funeral for a Friend is epic. I love all of the songs after Dirty Little Girl, however

I Should Coco
Supergrass
First time hearing of this band, but already sold from the first song on the record. I love the poppy hooks, fun synth, and manic energy at times. I didn’t realize Alright was by them - I am definitely going to be doing a deep dive of their discography to see if I recognize anything else.

Back In Black
AC/DC
This album holds a special place in my heart. 42 minutes of pure rock and roll. It’s a classic for a reason. Not super cohesive of an album but every song individually rocks. Full of hits but even the lesser known ones are as good as anything on the album.

Back To Black
Amy Winehouse
Beautiful front to back, with some sexy, fun, and often tragic songs, especially knowing what we know now. Amy was a true generational talent with the soul and pizazz of someone far older than her. One of the great albums of the 21st century.

Power In Numbers
Jurassic 5
Went into this album only knowing What’s Golden but loved the album start to finish and am regretting not checking them out sooner. Great production and lyricism. I love the boom bap style with a ton of record scratching and sampling.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Stripped down, back to basics classic rock. I love the pop sensibility with the rock and roll attitude. Deep cuts and big hits all rock on this 30 minute quickie.
