Elastica by Elastica
Feb 20 2025

I kind of liked the single, but listening to it in the context of the album I was thinking the whole thing was maybe a 3, then I was reminded that this is in the context of album’s you should listen to before you die…

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Mar 12 2025

I think I would have enjoyed this album a lot if I had picked it up in the 70's. Stand is a great song, I knew it from Pump up the Volume soundtrack but didn't realize it was Sly's

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Mar 17 2025

Not a bad album, no where near a "need" to listen. Another case of a single hit getting an album on a list where the album itself is rather Meh.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Mar 21 2025

I really liked this. Not normally something I would have listened to, but I'm glad I did.

The Cars by The Cars
Mar 24 2025

Always liked the cars and I had this album. This is the first one I might give 5 stars as a "Must Listen" making me feel that the whole must listen album thing is just 100% subjective based on your history, not based at all on how good the actual music is. I always found the cars lyrics fun--it's like they'd just make up new uses for words that rhymed wherever needed, this whole album is packed with new uses for old words and weird twisty little phrases that kind of work or might even sound deep if you don't look into them too much.

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Mar 25 2025

Lots of great songs, I'm biased though.
