Coldplay has very distinct sound between the instruments used and cord progressions. Good playlist for just sitting and thinking. It's a bit sad/mellow but in a good way. For me it almost seems to be a reflection of atheists trying to figure out the patterns of the universe; lots of confusion, curiosity, and questioning. If I had to choose a color for this album, it would be green. I love the titular song of the album. Last song in the album reminds me of knocking on heaven's door for some reason. Well album #1 is done. Cheers! Only 1000 to go...

The Wildest! by Louis Prima

Pretty good. I forgot how much I loved the saxophone. I was also happy that there was a mix of instrumental and vocal songs.

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Apr 18 2025

Haven't heard much of sister sledge before. The instruments are fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ. Lyrics and vocals are good but not my favorite. Would listen to it again but not often. This is great background music for when you're doing something else but not the kind of music that makes you stop and think.

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Apr 19 2025

I actually love this album so much. I wasn't expecting to like it but I was surprised. The music is very calming and it is stuff I would actually listen to so that was cool.

Sick intros and endings, however, I find some of the middle repetitive and lacking. There were a few songs I really loved but most didn't leave much of an impression. Ok kind of crazy side note is that, as I listen to this album, I thought that a main theme was almost reflecting on/observing earth, almost as an outsider. And then I look on the album cover and the picture is almost exactly that. So the message they were trying to say worked. Also the drums were on point ๐Ÿ’ฏ

The Sensual World by Kate Bush
Apr 21 2025

This album was really different from most music I listen to. Kate does a really good job of using sounds in her music from nature that add to the haunting and ethereal sound of her music. When it's done right it sounds really good but otherwise it gets repetitive. I really like her music but this is not my favorite album of hers. I would listen to it again though so 3.4 ๐ŸŒŸ

Elephant by The White Stripes

This album was so long but oh my gosh I loved it so much. I had only ever heard 7 nation army and it was good but I was surprised by how much I liked the rest of the songs. They were creative and each song was distinct. They had good themes and the background music was great. There will be a lot more rock music in my future :)
