Arrival by ABBA
Apr 15 2025

Didn't know half of abba's greatest hits came from a single album. It's pop, it's inoffensive, I'm sure at the time the production and composition were stunning but I can't separate how much I've heard Abba from my review. It's got classics but they're not classics I would choose to gravitate toward.

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Apr 16 2025

Chest Fever would have been their second hit wonder, I suppose. Being from the 60's I understand the general vibe and understand why it's had staying power. It's good but I'm probably just spoiled by modern trappings of music

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Apr 17 2025

77 talking heads and they couldn't come up with a better album cover? Actually no wait, I guess that makes sense. Has a good beat, easy to dance to, I give it a six.

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
Apr 18 2025

If there's an 'album for making Sunday breakfast' this is it. I grew up on Ray Charles, hard to be objective on this one.

Abraxas by Santana
Apr 21 2025

It's hard rating guitar pioneers. While some riffs sound dated that's only because at one time they were novel. All that said I honestly don't think Santana is that great a guitar player. Definitely deserves a place in history and is valuable as a trail blazer but there are better displays of instrumentality around.

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Apr 22 2025

White stripes without 7 nation army? What!? I kid, it's nice to see an album from a band that for most is a one hit wonder. That said, this album was not for me. I wouldn't choose to put this on.
