In A Silent Way
Miles Davis
I liked this. Wasn't prepared to hear long songs again but it was nice. I hear instruments repeating themselves like the bass and it doesn't stop. I think it keeps a tension of the song that is mysterious. When things finally do change it feels like a journey has been reached. The repeating instruments come back and back again and it feels like a never ending cycle. Although this happens, this gives the other instruments room to experiment and breathe in their own sound. Jazz is cool.

This album has a lot of energy. The lyrics are fun and Prince sings with pizazz. Ive heard several songs like 1999 and Little Red Corvette but I really like DMSR. This is a funky album. Every song is a different approach to singing. Sometimes its soft and sometimes its loud and a lout of screaming but there is always a sense of control.

I thought it was good. Very chill. Feels like traditional African sounds with jazz in a very honest and proper way.

This album is fun. I like the vibes on it even though it isn't my typical form of music i would listen to.

I fucking love jungle and drum & bass. This is a fire album. I think it is important to remember that this list is a well rounded lists that highlights the crux and peaks of a lot of genres. There are a lot of fake music listeners who can't listen to something outside their comfort zone. Its just jungle & drum and bass. Nothing too fancy or left field of a genre in electronic music. I think what this album does is accent the lostness that drum and bass is supposed to guide you on. I love the long songs on this album. Truly a joy to listen to.
