. Highway star seems overrated to me, fun song but way to muddy production. In fact the first three tracks production seems kind of off compared to the very good production of the later tracks, stereo field of never before is very good, same for Lazy. Smoke on the water is just a classic fun song. Lazy absolutely slaps, best song on the album. Space trucking is also very fun, I like the production on it and the drums go hard on it. When a blind man cries is a lovely slower bluesy song. Quite nice. Overall i'd give the album a 7. It has some very good moments. Nothing too special or amazing, just quite enjoyable. Ofcourse it's influence cannot be understated.
