Listening statistics & highlights
One of the albums that I'm somewhat familiar with. Not sure why he went symphonic on a couple of songs. They stick out, in a bad way. The rest are bangers.

I think I need to better understand the context here, as Brown’s prolific showmanship doesn’t fully translate into an audio-only format. Also I’m curious how they got such clean sounds but mostly hard-panned (rather than centered) the vox.
I often think about how the reason I got into the Pixies was that I read (probably in Spin or something) that a young Thom Yorke idolized them. Anyway, Surfer Rosa rules. 4.5.
Probably the first time that I've listened all the way through a Sabbath album. Not bad. Just gotta try to ignore the lyrics and some of the guitar solos (the solo at 9:50 of the last track killed me dead). 2.5 stars.
ELO is a huge blind spot and I thoroughly enjoyed this.
