How have I never listened to this album in it's entirety before? I've heard some of the songs individually but never as a collective work. There were a couple of songs that I did not love, but it is a real work of art. I'm also shocked by how many songs are on the album! A true classic.
Quick listen at 38 minutes. Lots of synth, very 80s sound. Not my favorite decade for music, but there are a lot of hits on this album. I can see why it's on the list.
soft vocals and acoustics, reminds me of early dashboard confessionals. I would call Elliott Smith the 90s pioneer of emo.
Folksy, blues-y rock. 'The Weight' is on this album, which is such a classic.
oh, the 90s angst! the guitar rifts and vocal range! the songwriting is fantastic. his cover of hallelujah is heartbreaking.
7/5, such an amazing album. I was already familiar with it but I haven't listened to it in yearssss, I'm so happy that this was recommended. Fully deserves to be on this list, and my love for 80s metal has been renewed.
Wait til tomorrow is a jam! Hadn't heard it before, but I knew Castles Made of Sand and Little Wing. There's some weird ones on here but it's Hendrix! It's the late 60s! It's expected to be psychedelic.
