Let me first say that I'm really glad this rating system is out of 5 instead of out of 10. I feel like differentiating between albums with that sort of granularity is sort of beyond my capabilities, so this works well. Live at the Harlem Square Club was good honest fun. It was upbeat, catchy, and Sam Cooke has great crowd control. I did, about halfway through, find myself getting a little tired of the taste, though, which ultimately is what I think knocks it down for me. Otherwise, this was a fun listen in the style of music I generally like, and I was glad to be shown it!

The Score by Fugees
May 19 2025

I really liked this one. It had a lot of cool songs I recognized from when I was younger on it, and I LOVE Ms Lauryn Hill.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
May 20 2025

This game should be 1000 albums generator. 1001 was entirely unnecessary. This one did not need to get included.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
May 21 2025

I was listening to this and thinking to myself (after listening to Deep Purple in Rock and HATING it): "maybe I do like rock?". Nope. I like musicals, and this is a rock-flavored musical, which was fine I guess, but I think all the parts of it that I liked were the musical parts and none of them were the rock ones. It was fun to listen to, still. "The album was developed from the musical Neverland." -Wikipedia Yep.

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
May 28 2025

I love Kate Bush, and Suspended in Gaffa is a massive banger, but this album was a little "cooler" than it was "good sounding" at times. That being said, what a massive relief to have a bit of a mix up. Overall, though, this one is my favorite we've listened to so far.

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean

Orange is my favorite Channel

You Are The Quarry by Morrissey
Jun 25 2025

I actually asked my friends if this was a parody album after listening to the first song, and they said "Nope, that's just Morrissey". I feel like that sums up my listening experience pretty well.

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Jun 29 2025

It’s interesting to see how far rap has come since this was released. It was also interesting how the beat made it so easy to hear the lyrics. It’s a shame that the lyrics themselves weren’t, though.

Rio by Duran Duran
Jun 30 2025

This was better than Raising Hell by Run-DMC, but not nearly as good as the Kate Bush album we listened to. It was fun, sounded nice, and had some nostalgic songs I remember my parents playing when I was a kid. The epitome of a 3 star album.

Imagine by John Lennon
Jul 01 2025

Imagine (the song) was way better than I remembered, so I was really disappointed that the rest of this album wasn't very good. Thankfully, it was fairly short, so the good parts made up a not-insignificant portion of it. Overall, sort of in the middle I guess?

Young Americans by David Bowie
Jul 02 2025

It was alright. Nothing amazing, but it sounded nice and was fun to listen to.

The Pleasure Principle by Gary Numan
Jul 04 2025

This album started over and I literally didn't even notice except that I felt like I had endured enough. It was not very good...

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Jul 08 2025

This album felt like listening to a musical for some reason. Good thing I like musicals.

Youth And Young Manhood by Kings of Leon
Jul 09 2025

I did not like this album sam I am, i did not like king of lee an, i did not like the way it sounds, i would rather listen to some hounds.

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Jul 16 2025

Honestly just a bad album. Not sure why this is on here. 0/10.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jul 19 2025

Listened to this while working, so I wasn't able to pay a TON of attention to it, but every time I found myself actively listening I was really impressed by what I was hearing. I really liked it :)

Jul 21 2025

not knowing anything about this album going in, I quite liked it!

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025

It was okay I guess. I was sort of expecting to like it more than I did. Maybe my expectations were too high

Bert Jansch by Bert Jansch
Jul 25 2025

It was, at times, hard to tell whether the person playing the guitar was a genius or a 7 year old. I feel like it was so close to greatness, but didn’t quite achieve it. Bert’s singing didn’t help.
