1001 Albums Summary

Had great moments for me with the rhythms and bass lines. Fantastic vocals with a lot of character and emotion. A 3 feels too low but a 4 feels excessive for me personally. I feel like he doesn't quite reach the dramatic peaks he had the potential to reach within the album. Overall very enjoyable - I could see myself blasting it in the car with the windows down and feeling alive.

This album simply can't be listened to without considering the context of the piece. I can only imagine what people thought when it came out. Especially the more experimentally inclined people. Personally for my music taste it is overly repetitive. However there are some really interesting moments in the beats. It may sound like a parody album to our modern ears. But I appreciate their innovation.
