Never heard of this album or artist before. My first thought when starting the album was that his voice was sexy! It felt more like listening to poetry than music. A very dark album about death. Later learned it was his last album he made, as he was close to death. His voice is captivating and I’m a sucker for songs with a choir in it.

Ok ngl was kinda bummed when this came up. Never really liked Pink Floyd, or more accurate, never felt like it was my vibe… I vaguely knew a few songs, but this was the first time I listened to one of their albums all the way through.
Luvvvvvv a concept album. Love a story and something to follow. Read the wiki beforehand to get an idea of what I was listening to, and was definitely intrigued. Not at all what I expected? Even tho I have listened to another brick in the wall pt2 before. I really like the concept of ‘the wall’ and the feelings of isolation and suffering it brings. The want to build a wall up around u is very relatable!
I thought it was odd that the song abt him trying to sleep with woman, ending with finding out his wife cheated on him, is followed by a song of him beating her up lol? And the end songs I didn’t love either. I get it was delusion, him thinking he was a facist leader, hosting riots, but it didn’t work for me. Maybe if I was alive during that time it would’ve hit harder but, for me it was meh.
I can definitely say it was a great album, and I will be listening to more Pink Floyd. I think it’s better I waited till I was older to listen to them, specifically this album. I don’t think I would’ve appreciated or related as much if I was a teenager.
Favorites: Another brick in the wall pt3, hey you, and the trial.

I haven’t listened to a lot of Guns N’ Roses, and the songs I have heard are on this album, but never listened to it all the way through.
Really like the songs and the instruments, but man. I cannot get behind Axl Roses voice. Great range, just not for me!!!!! I felt like I couldn’t listen to another minute of him singing once the album ended.
If someone put this on at a bbq or on a long drive I wouldn’t mind, but will probably never put it on myself. Makes me wanna smoke a cigarette reaaaal bad.

Feels like a mix of a few genres, very nice voice, very poetic writing. Feel like I need to listen to it again. Very smooth easy going album.

Obviously know abba… never listened to this album full through.
Bangers for days. Such fun upbeat music, I can’t see why anyone doesn’t like them.

The type of country I fuck with. Introduced me to the term ‘outlaw country’ and will be digging a little deeper.

Never listened to this album before, but it was really cool reading abt the history of it! Seeing how hard it was for him to complete this album and then hearing the song ‘Vega-tables’ was kinda funny to me lol. Will eventually have to listen to The Beach Boys smile album.
Not really what I was expecting but pleasantly surprised
