This is an album I would play on a long road trip. It’s an album you can groove to, set it in the background and reflect to, but I don’t think Elliott meant for us to dance it out. Fantastic songwriter.
This must have been a crazy listen in 1967. Still sounds so fresh 60 years later. Fun to hear more songs beyond the typical Purple Haze and Foxey Lady.
Who knew The Beach Boys were so melancholic behind those sugary and sunny guitar riffs! My favorite kind of album is one with sad, reflective lyrics and happy tunes.
Fake Plastic Trees is one of my favorite songs, and I can’t believe it took me this long to listen to the entire album.
The B Sides are the best part of the album
