1001 Albums Summary

Fine. A bit incongruous to see how much influence Kanye had on this given what a horrible person he has revealed himself to be. Some pretty dated gender politics on display. Nothing especially groundbreaking happening here.

Green Onions is a certified stone cold classic. Pretty much everything else here is a snooze.

Is this my favorite Beatles album? Insane production quality. So many bangers.

Solid production. Sounds great on headphones. Not totally my thing. Lyrically sorta silly. More 3.5 stars (rounding up).

This gets better and better as I get older. One of the earliest albums I was introduced to as a kid (mostly through the title song). Lyrically and musically immense. The Boxer is a complete triumph. "I have squandered my resistance For a pocketful of mumbles Such are promises"

yuck. Overrated. Boring stoner trash.

Many other bands do everything here much much better. Really bizarre mix on some of these tracks.

A masterpiece. Title track one of the best of all time.

The most important British band of this era with their most textured and deep album. Miles and mile more interesting than their better known peers. Hugely influential.

“Satan laughing, spreads his wings” is one of the greatest lyrics of all time. Only one real meh track on the whole album
