1001 Albums Summary

Classic 80s hard rock album! Cant go wrong with it but it wont leave you with any massive impact. I probably don’t understand the impact this had in the 80s since im too young. Solid album. Favorites: Too Late For Love, Photograph

Let me start with this, one of my favorite album covers but never listened to the album before today. I enjoyed this one a lot, even more the second time as Im currently listening to it for the second time. Lots of songs to love and they dip their toes in many different genres, this makes the album very interesting to listen to. This will be an album I revisit multiple times and im glad i got to listen to it. Favorites: London Calling, Lost in the Supermarket, Clampdown, Spanish Bombs

A solid album, theres no denying how important Document is to R.E.M. This is the album that got them going. It just wasn’t the kind of album that got me excited as R.E.M. isn’t entirely my thing. Although there were song I enjoyed on this album. Also probably an unpopular opinion I dislike “It’s The End Of The World As We Know It” like a lot. Favorite songs: Finest Worksong, The One I Love

Nick Drake is a name Ive heard of in the past and Ive seen the album cover of Pink Moon, it has always disturbed me a little bit for some reason. I knew absolutely nothing about Nick Drake until listening to this album and Ive found it very interesting. This wasnt an album enjoyed 100% but after reading more about Drake’s life and the meaning of this album Ive come to respect it a lot. His soft tone and the bare music, just a man and his guitar. I wonder if things would’ve panned out differently for him if he ever got that recognition. Listening to the album and staring at album cover for a while it makes a lot more sense to me now. It kind of gives the cover a meaning although I couldnt explain it, it just sits right now. Favorite Songs: Pink Moon, Things Behind The Sun, Free Ride

The Queen Is Dead is an album Ive listened to in the past because Ive seen The Smiths everywhere and like a few songs. But this album for some reason just doesnt have replay ability for me. The music is great I have enjoyed when Ive listened to the album but nothing about has me thinking about it and wanted to listen to it again. This is a great album and i respect everything jts done. Favorite Tracks: The Queen Is Dead, I Know It’s Over, Bigmouth Strikes Again

Theres a reason they are the best and Abbey Road exemplified why. I dont even have to speak for this album. Favorite Songs: Come Together, Something, I Want You, Carry That Weight
