1001 Albums Summary

Didn't expect much from a live album but this was actually so fucking good.

I get why this is considered a classic; Ella sounds incredible, the orchestra flows with her singing perfectly, and the overall quality of the whole thing is quite impressive. But honestly this was way too long. As the album went on, it started to feel more like a chore, which kinda ruined the experience for me. Even though everything is technically well done, it just felt repetitive and emotionally flat by the end. Great background music though.

Papa Was A Rollin' Stone is truly a masterpiece but the rest of the album doesn't hit the same tbh.

Best prog band ever.
