taxman - has a grrovy bassline but the arrangement feels empty and i dislike the politics of the song eleanor rigby - has a beautifully lush string arrangement and strong Y7 music vibes i'm only sleeping - is one of my favorites on the album from the guitar chords with the melodies and harmony to the little bass interludes love you to - george harrison sitar speedrun here there and everywhere - tasteful modulations throughout, eargasmic polyphonic texture yellow submarine - it's a motherfuckin yellow submarine m8 what more can you want she said she said - weezer's holiday jumpscare -> 60s psychadelia. i like the drumming quite a bit good day sunshine - i really like the piano in the intro and your bird can sing - the guitar arrangement is wonderful, particularly in the chorus with the almost onett theme sounding descending phrase for no one - classic beatles strong songwriting with a horn! the chorus is very comforting feeling almost. the piano also provides nice contrast against the bassline dr robert - the most eh song on the album, the harmonium section is kind of cool i want to tell you - semitone speedrun got to get you in my life - the horn lines are very catchy, not particularly noteworthy tomorrow never knows - this one is actually quite cool in terms of the drumming and droning; i think this is one of the most interesting on the album overall i think the songwriting is quite very good in terms of the very creative choices made in chord choices, arrangements and melodies but very few songs really feel like they speak to me personally. I like the experimental nature of some of the tracks but i doubt i'll be listening to it tons favorite song: tied between i'm only sleeping and and your bird can sing most interesting track: tomorrow never knows craft rating: 8/10 emotional resonance rating: 4/10
