McCartney by Paul McCartney
Aug 06 2025

Not the first time I've listened to this album, but the first time in a while. Striking how different the sound is from some of the ladder Beatles works and also how similar some of the songs are to the Rubber Soul era works.

Green by R.E.M.
Aug 07 2025

This one was released when I was in 4th grade, I think. So, I'd listened to it before, but not as much as some of R.E.M.'s later work, which I thoroughly enjoyed in junior and senior high school.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Aug 08 2025

One of my favorite concept albums from start to finish. While I was reared listening to classic rock on the radio dial, I didn't really appreciate Pink Floyd until the evening I graduated high school and I heard Comfortably Numb while I was being driven home following a late night celebration. Been hooked ever since.

White Ladder by David Gray
Aug 14 2025

Somehow perfectly captures the prevalence of digital beats and great songwriting of the turn of the century.

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Aug 27 2025

I guess I made a mistake by always just sticking to the radio hits of this album. Pretty cool snapshot of glam rock in the early 70s, that I definitely plan to revisit in the years ahead.
