The La's
The La's
Amazing 60's pop jangle throwback as good as, if not better, than BJMs Take it From the Man and Thank God for Mental Illness. Really cool callback to Buddy Holly rocking too. I Can't Sleep, Doledrum, IOU and the closer Looking Glass stand out, obv besides their number 1 hit.

American Idiot
Green Day
I've known about this record for a long time and only just have now listened to it through. I feel like I would have gotten into it more if I had a better ear for lyrics rather than just the music. But honestly, I'm impressed with the amount of arrangement and progressions that went into this - I hadn't expected nearly as much with their pop punk reputation.

Dookie
Green Day
Green Days best, absolute punk classic, pop punk or otherwise, with songs that are short, sweet, with catchy hooks and fun lyrics. Nearly forgot how many hits were on this record alone!

Lou Reed
Surprised Walk on the Wide side and Perfect Day were on the same record to be honest. Never been much a Velvet/Lou Reed guy myself but I've always appreciated his 60/70s casual style. This album feels like a good cross from the 60s debaucherous easy rider themes into a something more serious. Not for me but I totally get the appeal. Dig the raunchiness too!

In Utero
Nirvana
Synthesis of grunge. Takes the best of Bleach and Nevermind with a distorted rough poppy large sound. In my opinion, their best.
