1001 Albums Summary

My first Kinks album. Not bad at all, but not fully my type either. An easy-breezy listen on a Tuesday morning.

First full Beatles album!

Definitely lulled for me in a few spots. Another classic rock first, probably more historic than re-listenable.

Perfectly serviceable softspoken (enough) sounds of indie / alternative.

Solid soft-ish rock. Kinda dragged in the first half, but picked up nicely by the second.

Very fun!

Their third album, and the first one that doesn't fully click with me. Not without moments of greatness.

Listened to this one forever ago. Still liked it enough. Not as instantly recognizable or memorable as other Beach Boys outings.

Easy listening, pretty melodoes and lush harmonies.

A little meandering at times (not unexpected/unwelcome), but when it locks in it goes pretty hard.

It was alright, I guess.

Mostly fine. Kinda faded into the background a little bit.

I really feel like I should've liked this much more than I did. Oh well.
