Prince
Prince? More like Shit.
I imagine in 1982 when it was released it would have got everyone wet but I've heard dic...dic...dictionary on the keyboard in year 7 music and my dick felt just as limp then as it did listening to this.
All tracks were irritating apart from Lady Cab Driver, only because it was nice to hear some moaning without needing to download a VPN. Sure women can be Uber drivers too, you tell 'em sis!
One star for the album then another star because inevitably there's always something worse around the corner.

Garbage
Garbage
This album for me is reminiscent of family life before my parents divorce. Daddy likes hot pink feathers? Daddy who is a stupid girl?
This album edged me all the way until it's cataclysmic climax (for me) the aforementioned Stupid Girl.
And hey if you liked this you'd probably like their other stuff too.

PSYCH! 🤪
Our Trace is neither a chap nor a man but my goodness does she have a lot to say.
What a beautiful yet chilling album. The accapella track Behind the Wall is really arresting. You would hope that an 80s album with commentary on domestic violence and racism wouldn't resonate so much today. Alas.Â
Who am I to give this album anything less than 5 stars.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Beatles
Sgt Pepper walked so that Shrek the Musical at the Theatre Severn could run. Both a highly entertaining treat for the ears.
A day in the life is peak Lennon V Macca. But who won? My vote goes against 'found my coat and grabbed my hat, made the bus in seconds flat'.
So you're telling me this is fine but everyone scoffs at Rebecca Black singing "gotta have my bowl gotta have cereal"?
Hey, the jokes on you because she also made it to the bus stop.
N.B. The Cat In The Hat movie features a great Smash Mouth cover of 'Getting Better' whilst Cat, Conrad and Sally clean up a shit load of mess made by those bastards Thing 1 and Thing 2. Spoiler alert: it gets better and Conrad doesn't have to go to military school. Another reason to love The Beatles.

The Band
The Band
A good album from a great time for American music.
I really enjoyed listening but am having some back office issues with moderating the ranking system at the moment so giving it a 3.

Phaedra
Tangerine Dream
Well I enjoyed this more than I did Prince's album.
I accidentally listened to the 2hr 30 min extended version but it proved useful in quieting some noise in my head and letting me get some work done.
