Good production, but got bored after a few songs. Every song sounded the same, and I don't really care about his divorce.
This album has been reviewed to death and there's nothing I can add that hasn't already been said by someone more eloquent than me. However, as a biased Zeppelin fan, there are a few songs on this album I don't love, which stops it from being a full 5/5.
Outside of the two singles and '45, the album is just fine. Sometimes I wonder if Queen would've been better if they had taken the "less is more approach". May, for instance, feels more like a barrage of sound than meaningful notes. I'd sooner give it a 7/10 than 6/10, however I can't give it a 4/5.
It's hard to believe this was one of the first albums from one of the most influential and long-lasting bands of all time. Judging a 60 year old album with modern sensibilities and tastes seems unfair, but this is definitely not an album I'd listen to again.
