[[music]], [[rock music]], [[blues]] #music #rock #blues I've heard the name a lot but never listened to them fully. Everyone knows Sweet Home Alabama and Free Bird but aside from that? need to listen more. I Aint The One - Great tone setting song. really loved the vibes of it being 70s music rock for sure Tuesday's Gone - Country feeling but seeing as they're southern rock, makes sense. Blues feelings as well. Long song, bit slow but still nice to listen probably Gimme Three Steps - Vibey, dancey song. Love it. great bass and guitar mix Simple Man - Lovely message. Be a simple man. Great story about mom and son too. What's not to love? It's one of the most popular songs of theirs on the album Things Goin On - Blues guitar focused. Alright. Mississippi Kid - Guitar focused. Love the rhythym and sound Poison Whiskey - Love the sound of this song. Great start with the guitar, the drums and guitar working together Free Bird - Classic Free Bird 4/5 stars

Moving Pictures by Rush
Aug 15 2025

So Rush has a strange place in my heart due to an old coworker Kelly (toolowfrontrow) that I used to work with at Cresta. She had a strange condition that unfortunately took her life years ago. She was a great soul and a HUGE Rush fan that I barely listened to. I will enjoy listening to this though. Album Cover - I quite love it. It almost looks like a funeral but to different art. I'm assuming the art could be their different albums and they're being put away and family's mourn for it? Tom Sawyer - Really love the drums on this. Very powerful. The vocals do add quite a unique sound similar to how AC/DC has a unique vocal sound. Didn't really listen to lyrics much but loved the sound of the song. Might need to relisten cause that was their most plays on the album next to Limelight Red Barchetta - I get the sound they have for this album and I do love it. Very passionate. May be the time difference of the lyrics but I do enjoy it despite not really understanding it currently? I enjoy interesting lyrics but I think the time difference may be causing confusion at times? YYZ - I believe I have heard this song. POWERFUL start and memorable sound. Very powerful musicality here. While not on the most popular end, I'm PRETTY SURE I've heard this one a lot. Regardless, totally love this song. No lyrics, just pure sound. Limelight - Love the message. it feels like you're in the limelight with the song but definitely something talking about the limelights caveats. Alienation in the limelight. The Camera Eye - 11 minute song almost. We'll see how it goes lol Will listen on the side. Great pacing and changes of the song. Almost ethereal Witch Hunt - Love the intensity of the beginning, guitar riff at beginning was usual 80s rock but LOVE it. Slower but focus on lyrics and message. Very rebellious. Vital Signs - Love the craziness of this one. Final song in the album and a body check. Seems to be self empowerment with the ending just going "everybody got to elevate from the norm" to "deviate from the norm". Great message. Overall interesting album, not a favorite or anything but really enjoyed it. 3 stars.

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine

[[music]], [[rock music]], [[rap rock]] #music #rock Rage Against The Machine (1992) album RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!!!! So there will be bias here because I LOVE Rage Against the Machine and this track is just overall POWERFUL and I love it. The ALBUM COVER is just BEAUTY. Perfect show of the state of rebellion while trying to be peaceful despite being on fire. Great message of rebellion against society while trying to be peaceful even while burning Bombtrack - Listen to this often just to get pumped or if I want to be angry. Knowing it's the first song of the album is GREAT. Very anticapitalism as the whole album pretty much will be Killing In The Name Of - One of my favorite songs of theirs. One of the most popular songs they have. Loved by Guitar Hero. Overall fantastic message of KKK, American society, and being a drone to society. Take the Power Back - Heard this a few times, don't really recall and I think it's cause I don't like how the guitar sounds at the beginning so I usually switch but the bass riff is sick with it. Almost ominous. But then it goes into power on taking power back from the white focused government Settle for Nothing - Slow song, didn't really hook me and message wasn't really listened too. I just don't like slow rock at times? Bullet In The Head - Popular song for sure that I do enjoy a lot. Love it lyrically and the sounds. Such catchy lyrics kind of talking about listening to the system still causing you to die even if you cooperate with police Know Your Enemy - Talking about knowing who the enemy is in the government system. INTENSE song and pumps you up to fight and resist. Wake Up - I've heard this song more often then the other ones that I'm not as familiar with in this track (settle for nothing and take the power back). This song tries to give information on american history, black people being targeted, and to waking up to the hypocrisy of the United States. Fistful of Steel - Song is talking about a gun in hand probably or metaphorically the microphone is a fistful of steel being able to preach truth and justice Township of Rebellion - Love the pump up and energy of this one. A big preach on how to speak out against the wrongs of the world, using their platform to inspire for rebellion, fighting against the government with the townpeople of USA. Freedom - Talking about the use of freedom but doing what they want. Spray painting, speaking out loud, metaphors of games in the world. How freedom is fake and how that we gotta fight for real freedom. Overall, I love this band and album. Easy 5/5 because I already knew more then half of the songs.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Aug 19 2025

Gonna be honest, heard this before, and heard this now. Never was a big fan of Nine Inch Nails minus some songs. This still solidified it. Not sure why I can't like them? They scream, get intense, and such. Maybe just the day today that's causing it? 2/5.
