The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
Aug 18 2025

I rated this album 7.6 out of 10. I've never been the biggest fan of old-school hip-hop, but this was a fun album. I was familiar with some of the songs, like "The Message" and "Scorpio," but the rest were all new to me. I think my main gripe with the album was the length of some of the songs. While not the longest album I've listened to or even the longest songs I've listened to, I felt as if the songs tended to drag on further than they needed to. The rest of the album was enjoyable, and while I don't see myself coming back to it all the time, I do understand the importance the album has had on music and its genre.

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Aug 19 2025

If I'm being honest, this was not my cup of tea. My overall rating for this would be 6.6/10. I'm not sure if it was the vocals of the songs or something, but I could not get into this album. It's not like I don't enjoy rock or anything (I do enjoy rock), but for some reason, this album missed the mark. I did enjoy the lyrical writing on this, though, so that did kind of save the album for me personally. I don't really see myself coming back to this album anytime soon, unfortunately.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Aug 20 2025

I actually enjoyed this more than I was expecting. Despite the strange start with I actually enjoyed all the flute that was in the album, and the vocals weren't that bad either. The whole vibe of the album felt very D n D to me for some reason. That sentence doesn't make much sense, but that's the best way to explain it. My overall rating is 8.3/10.

Debut by Björk
Aug 22 2025

I listened to this album while baking and painting, so I didn't really listen to hard on the lyrics or go very deep into finding the nuances of the songs or anything, but overall, for vibes, this was a great album to just listen to. Her debut album was interesting enough at all the right points throughout the listening that I didn't get bored at any point, and Björk's singing voice can easily get attention. Overall, a pretty enjoyable album, 8.9/10.
