1001 Albums Summary

Not much about this album will stick with me. It definitely is the sound of the time, but there is nothing that makes it stand out.

Classic sound, but its more of a play it in the background type of sound. 7 minutes and 40 seconds is too long for any song I will say, but in this instance (it being 1 of only 7 tracks and being the last track) I didnt mind it as much as I usually would. Solid 3.5-4 if you like the genre. I only give it a 3 for length (only being a 30 minute album) and for a lack of difference in the sound of each song.

I never really cared to listen to Garbage when I was growing up, so I havent heard much by them. Just so happens 2 of the songs I know are on this album. They are as solid as I rememeber, but the rest of the album sounds the same. Every song has the same sounds repeated over and over. There wasn't much emotion on any of the songs, or so it sounds, it could be the style of music but it all just sounds flat from a vocal standpoint. Solid 2 close to a 3 star but I cant do half so only a 2 for me.

Fun, and smooth. I enjoyed listening to Stevie Wonder, never heard him before. This is the type of music that you can put on in the background, but its not just background noise. Its solid, I must say he has a very soothing voice.

2 album 16 tracks, 14 of which are hot garbage. I did not mind Slow Love and It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night was absolutely wonderful. But everything else is proof you could make mindless sounds and write terrible lyrics if you were famous enough. Im sure there are plenty of good Prince Albums but as a whole neither album 1 or 2 are worth its weight in vinyl alone. I'd give it half a star if I could.
