There's A Riot Goin' On
Sly & The Family Stonedecent album, very funky
decent album, very funky
solid british music imo, the lead singer sings a bit too sensually for my taste in some songs, but a lot of the riffs are solid, mis-shapes, common people, and Ispy are the best in the album
liking the first 3 songs so far, "feelin the same way" reminds me of dorfromantik, super easy listening, relaxing, lots of gituar, vocals, some piano, soothing, "don't know why" best song "turn me on" has good piano and is a little romanitc, "one flight down" is a nice slow jazzy song with good synth/organ and piano
slow start, "can't you hear me knocking" gives a little bob d ylan vibes with sick electric guitar and saxophone, "bitch" is also a groovy song, overall not super impressed
Some good catchy beats in the first 2 songs, "spellbound" and 1 other, just didnt vibe with it as much as some other albums
overall not my kind of music, super groovy beats but i prefer singing instead of the main guy just talking over the music, that said, "handcuffs" is a decent track and "give up the funk" is a classic, but, in the last track, "night of the thumpasarus people" half the song sounds like wet farts
solid album, "fairytale in new york", "fiesta" "london lullaby" and "thousands are sailing" are all great, would listen to again
