Dirt

First time listening to Alice in chains (at least systematically - entire album at once). Intriguing rock album with some pieces almost drifting into different genres. Overall it’s good ole hard rock, with tasty solos and riffs that bring a metal flavor at times. Some of the tracks had hints of blues, and some had prog vibes. Not sure at which label/studio the album was recorded and mastered at, but it quickly struck how well it was done, with crystal clear overdriven leads and very nice stage separation. Very cool sound overall, but tends to be somewhat agressive given the mediumish tempo of most tracks, requiring a certain mood to be listened 😅 Fav tracks: Them Bones, Rain when I die, Dirt
