1001 Albums Summary

Pretty good - I do think I prefer some of Nina Simone's earlier stuff such as her album and pretty iconic song, "I put a spell on you". Overall, this was a pretty poetic album, lots of personal experiences and struggles embedded into it. I didn't feel the melodies were as cohesive for me as other albums or music of hers. Favourite song: Lilac Wine

Why is the shortest song on this album 7 mins long? At first I was like okay a folk album sweet ready for fall witchy vibes, but then I got bored. I actually had to stop listening because it was putting me to sleep while I was trying to work. I get that this is some people's vibe, just not mine.
