1001 Albums Summary

Album #1 I listen for this project. Overall pretty cool one - imho, quintessentially 70s rock. It has pretty diverse tracks, at times giving Beatles, ELO, at times giving Queen, Santana, Mike Oldfield, Supertramp, Beach Boys... I do not get the super negative comments for this one, I believe it stands its business and has aged pretty well, though I'll concede that its eclecticism might not be appealing for everyone. I have not listened to the lyrics in detail but it seems like it's quite a fun and cool album to vibe to. Though they very obviously make fun of themselves, the music has some very interesting sounds to pay attention to. Fav tracks: Baron Samedi, Old Wild Men and Oh Effendi.

Album #2 I listen for this project. I'll start this one by saying that I had a prejudice against Bowie. He was my ex fav artist, to an insane degree, and that was off-putting even if I liked his music. In this album, I only knew Starman. I very much liked how ominous, absurd and, in a strange way, optimistically nihilistic Five Years was. I liked the album quite a lot, but I would benefit from listening it several times and becoming more familiar with it. Added to my library and will revisit for sure.
