1001 Albums Summary

hell no. i know myself to like rlly niche and avant-garde stuff, but this rlly is on a whole other level the album started rather prog-rock, with stuff you’d expect from king crimson. then it got a bit weirder, into kid-a and mogwai territory, and by time i got to the last 3 tracks, i literally had to skip them all. never ever has a song made me feel so uncomfortable and so strange!!! peking-o and bmcot were kinda strange in a boring way, but i literally could not bear to listen to amugn for more than 10 minutes. horrifying, really uhmmmmmmmm only song i remotely like is paperhouse, bc of its rock nature that now im coming to appreciate due to how fucking freaky everything else is

eh… no offense but this sorta music just isn’t for me. the only part i remotely liked was at 1:39 on Waiting In Vain, where the usual reggae rhythm stops and it sounds different. other than that, all the songs sound the same, and i literally facepalmed when i heard the three little birds song, like this was where that comes from?? this generator needs to suggest better albums brah

so basically we went from your generic reggae album to the epitome of what a “dad-rock” album sounds like i mean it was fine, i listened to it from front to end, but nothing was really interesting. no songs added, no relistens planned meh

OH MY GOD FINALLY an album i recognize after pure 70's slop i finally got an album i was actually interested in listening to, and.... sure i like it. i'm not gonna go out of my way to listen to any of these songs on my spare time, but it's good to finally have done a full listen to such an iconic album. that one song where kurt started screaming kinda took me off guard decent
