Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Sep 20 2025

Not super into it, but it's not terrible. I think what puts me off is the singer's voice, more so than anything else. I generally don't have a big attraction to more traditional rock music, so it's probably not the album's fault. 6/10 okay/10

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Sep 21 2025

This album is really great, so many ideas, so many sounds, all packaged up into something charming and fun. When I listen to an album from front to back, I always want there to be a journey of concepts explored, and this album did that very well. Production was fun, vocals were fun. Overall, like a 4.5/5.

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Sep 22 2025

Good background album that isn't boring or uninspired. Lots of cool jazz sounds and enjoyable all through, especially when you're using the album as a way to work on another activity.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Sep 23 2025

A really fun mix of jazz instrumentals and chanty vocals. The songs all have a great groove to listen to and follow along with. I can totally see this as an album I come back to.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Sep 24 2025

This album has some great, foundational sounds and iconic individual songs, but I don't think I'd go back to listen to this as an album again. The hit singles off this album shine much brighter on their own than this album does as a collective, not to say that the music itself is bad. A solid listen for one time through, though.

Be by Common
Sep 26 2025

Some good grooves throughout the album, and the rapping/vocals grab attention super well. To be honest, during my listening, I wasn't focusing much on its lyrics due to schoolwork, but judging by the general sound of the album, I enjoyed the experience.

Let's Get Killed by David Holmes
Sep 29 2025

This album kind of felt like a time capsule or snippets of sounds from a documentary, which I found pretty cool. It's an interesting listen, looking at this album like a storyboard of electronic fusion pieced together.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Sep 30 2025

I listened to this album even before starting this project, and I still love it just as much on the re-listen. It just has such a good vibe, perfect atmosphere, and a lovely listen from top to bottom. Truly an album that sounds good as an album, not just singles.
