There is something so compelling about this album. It feels very nature-coded with its songbird-like melodies which gently remind of Stravinsky's rite of spring. Nico encapsulates a minimalistic elegance, that occupies a similar vein to artists I enjoy Birdy and Bjork. What it lacks in it-factor, it makes up for in appeal.
Though highly lauded, not particularly my thing. I appreciate its innovativeness but felt quite neutral towards its sounds and felt like they lacked a musicality. A strong 4/10 and may return for a relisten to see if it grows on me.
An easy to listen to album with a distinctive sound. Only had heard It's The End Of The World As We Know It before, but the rest of the tracks are pretty consistent too.
