Harry NilssonOMG this is one of my least favourite genres: "clever" American singer-songwriters of '60s/70s. Dull, dull, dull, dull, dull!

It's a BB King album. It's ok.

I cannot stand the baby-voiced-gothic-fairy. I'm not fond of this soft rock for US audiences and this is a double album of mainly fillers with two standout tracks, which means it's a dud. Abandoned listening to the whole thing and just revisted Sarah (which I dislike - see "baby-voiced-gothic-fairy") and Tusk.
Never really "got" The Kinks. Very little on this one made me prick up my eyes. The song constructions never pull me in enough that I can be bothered to listen to the "oh so clever and literate lyrics" and the tunes themselves just wash over.
It's a corker! Some incredible songs delivered in an inimitable manner by a real talent. Also Rick Rubin knew what he was up to!
Not really in my wheelhouse so I'm not qualified to pass comment. Nevertheless, I positively enjoyed at least half the tracks, and appreciated most of the rest.
