one of the best albums of all time. gets better with every listen

first track seems dis attached from the rest of the project. very very solid funk album nevertheless and definitely very influential for its time. the drum samples and time stretching are a great addition and is done very tastefully

the tracks start to sound formulaic after a while - but why change the formula if it creates a banger after a banger

probably not the best introduction to bowie. it’s still a very solid album but some of it is weird for the sole purpose of being weird, i found some of the lyrics a bit cringe too. there doesn’t seem to be much of a concept to this album either. there’s a couple tracks to bop your head to but it’s nothing ground breaking - this review would definitely be much more positive if this wasn’t a DAVID BOWIE album

dont like 80s music that much but this was hella sick
