one of the best radiohead albums. the album has a pretty big switch in sound, with, i believe, acoustic guitars (or electric guitars with acoustic tone) as the main instrument. the strumming complements yorke's voice perfectly. 15 steps sets the tone for the entire album. light, floating vocals and guitar. then bodysnatchers, from the messier side and nude with the serene, reflective tone; weird fishes, then all i need sort of follow the same pattern. the piano chords that suddenly start playing towards the end of all i need feels like waves -- something collapsing with such strong force that it hits you like a truck. faust arp starts with anxious quick, hanging, vocals, then starts accelerating and emphasizing. reckoner is nice. house of cards slightly boring but i suppose is a good change of pace. then jigsaws -- the epitome of the album and the bridge, the climax of it. the sudden change of pace and melody... just wow, wow. videotape then signifies the end. fantastic arrangement. all songs are all perfect. 11/10 album.
