1001 Albums Summary

Too miserable, get over it bro. Some decent ideas here and there. Not really my thing but not terrible

Jimi certainly has moments that I enjoy, and tasty fills here and there that I can appreciate. I think my problem with his music is that a lot of his songs sounds kind of the same. They have the same vibe and same guitar fills, with some variation here and there. My biggest gripe though is that his singing sounds bored and like he’s talk-singing. And it seems he crams multiple syllables in that doesn’t make sense with the rhythm. I can appreciate that it was sort of revolutionary at the time though and we wouldn’t have a lot of modern music if not for him.

Maybe the best album on here so far (only like 15 deep) I’m impressed. Liked the majority of songs. Many albums on here seemed like they were trying so hard to be different and edgy. I don’t get that from this album. Seems like they were just guys looking to make some good music from the heart. Definitely some Beatles influence but probably hard not to in that time
