Ingenue by k.d. lang

What are the chances that the first album would be by someone as androgynous as I would like to be. It’s not my usual cup of tea since it’s kinda slow and with jazzy singing but I’m glad I listened

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Oct 30 2025

Did not finish but it was pretty cool. Heavier metal than I find generally palatable but good high energy. Lots of sex talk which I find a little off putting but I guess that's one of the pillars of rock and roll.

Aha Shake Heartbreak by Kings of Leon
Nov 13 2025

Listened to the whole thing. Didn't care for his voice but the guitar was alright with good energy, kinda grungy. I really liked the part of Rodeo Girl where they're singing the chorus really fast but also playing with spacing out the words but there was a part later on in the song that I didn't care for because they're just repeating one phrase for too long. Unfortunately this means that song did not make it into any playlist of mine even though it was a contender. Overall, most of it blended together and didn't make much of an impact on me.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Nov 14 2025

I guess I'm just not a big fan of r&b which I think is what the singing sounds like. I liked Blue Lines but the rest was very background to me. I'm not even sure if I finished the album or if I got distracted by something.

Imagine by John Lennon
Nov 15 2025

Didn't finish but was okay. I think I can extrapolate that this might have been one of Ben Folds' influences. I guess, being on the aro ace spectrum, it all sounds kinda whiny and self excusatory especially the "I'm just a jealous guy." ugh. But sound-wise I didn't hate it and I actually liked the 'Imagine', because I'd like to imagine that world too.
