A Short Album About Love by The Divine Comedy
Nov 04 2025

I knew absolutely nothing about this prior to listening. It's good. Really good in places. A mix of studio and live tracks. The production is decent and I was reminded of early Bowie quite often.

Aja by Steely Dan
Nov 05 2025

Ah yes. Steely Dan's Aja. A legendary album among audiophiles and well-deserved. Even to this day, it's a reference recording for audio system demos and evaluations. The production is nothing short of landmark. This album is just a joy to sit with, especially on a good, revealing system where you can really "see" the soundstage.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Nov 06 2025

At first, I did not like the album at all. But it grew on me. Once I got past the belief that I "didn't like Willie Nelson" it actually became quite nice. He has a good voice. There were a couple of songs on the album that I didn't think quite worked for him but the rest were pretty good.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Nov 07 2025

It's an experimental jazz/jam album. Not for me, personally. That said, I have tremendous respect for Frank Zappa. He's been a huge influence on musicians for decades.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Nov 10 2025

World music? Kinda jazz? Seemed like a good recording. Just not my thing.

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
Nov 12 2025

An older album with some of their classic songs.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Nov 17 2025

It's acid rock and never much did much for me.
