Aggressively British. I think I mean that in a bad way. I mean, I do because I don't like it. It's not that it's actively bad, it's just not my style. Very repetitive. I like the weird circus like interlude in the middle of Chemical World. That's fun. Most songs are too long, bordering on jam-y for me. I would maybe like some of the songs if there were 2 mins long. I was kind of just waiting for it to be over.

Low by David Bowie
Nov 06 2025

I swear I like David Bowie's voice, I really do. However, the vocal tracks on this album don't catch me, but the instrumental, experimental tracks? Incredible. Warszawa, Art Decade, Weeping Wall, and Subterraneans are amazing. The soundscapes are dreamy, invocative, otherworldly. If this album were only songs like this it'd be a 5/5 for me. Overall, it's closer to a 3.5 than a 3.

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Nov 07 2025

This one is tough for me because I don't love 90s rap music, like the actual music. It's a little too manic for me. But the lyrics? The social commentary? I fucking love it. If I could rate just the lyrics, 5/5. If I were to guess the impact of this album? Probably a 5/5. For me, on a personal, I'm gonna give it a 3/5.

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Nov 10 2025

Look, I don't hate it. But I don't love it. I do feel like if you handed me a joint, put me on a beach with a cover band doing Steely Dan, I'd be vibing. It's inoffensive and chill. "Reelin in the Years" feels kind of like a Bowie song. It's one of my favs from this album, along with "Dirty Work". Will I ever listen to it again? Nope. Except for "Reelin in the Years" and "Dirty Work".

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Nov 11 2025

Listened to this album a lot as a kid. It represents coziness, romances, and happiness to me. When I say I like slow jazz, this is what I mean. Come Away with Me and Nightengale are some of my fav songs ever. Such beautiful songs.

Live At Leeds by The Who
Nov 12 2025

I was surprised to see a live album here. I am further surprised by how good it is. The music quality is amazing, and the vocals are a bit rougher in the live performances, which I really enjoy. I've always enjoyed the political side of The Who and this has some stellar examples. I only knew "Shakin' All Over" and "My Generation" from this, and they are, of course, outstanding live. "I Can't Explain", "Tattoo", "Young Man Blues", "Amazing Journey/Stellar" stick out.

Nov 13 2025

I was nervous about this one. First album by someone I had never heard of. Then I saw Paul Oakenfold mentioned and I thought, ok, let's give this a chance. I actually really enjoyed this album. It's fun, fresh, and catchy.
