1001 Albums Summary

Really impressive production quality. I can sense how albums like this influenced Muse and others.

Although I am a Queen fan, I can’t say that I distinctly recall listening to any of these songs previously. You can tell they are still trying to figure things out and getting closer to achieving their distinct sound. I was surprised by some of the elements of hard rock or early metal sound in some of these songs. It was a fun listen but not sure if many of the songs would make it into any normal rotation of mine.

This was an enjoyable live album. I’ve not really listened to much James Brown. It was kind of a peek into club shows at the time and the crowd interaction gave it a fun vibe. I don’t expect this to be added to my regular rotation.
