Already glad I started this, I think I would have scoffed at this album because I'm too closed minded to anything that sounds ethereal or takes a moment to build -- but I was wrong in about 30 seconds. Brilliant songwriting even more brilliant production. Feels like a warm blanket and boundary pushing at the same time. Kinda the best you can get from music.
I liked this a lot but there's a few songs that stuck out to me as having melodic and lyrical strength. Everything else sounds the same...I really want to give this 3.5 stars for the production, Levon and All the Nasties. Obviously tiny dancer. Just wish this felt more like a whole.
Ahhhh - Brown Sugar, Wild Horses - hell yes. Never listened to this album all the way through but god damn is it good.
Never heard can't you hear my knocking or I got the blues! This is just a perfect album...So funny it feels like a breath of fresh air post Madman and if you asked me who I liked better the stones or Elton John, I would have said Elton. And I know this is one album to another - might choose hotel or don't shoot me over this but the writing here is so fucking tight. The production is so together but suites itself to each song. amazing
Dead flowers!!
Ugh, I want to like this more than I do, i just can't stand the noise. "Perhaps Vampires..." is a great example where i love the middle of the song but I have no desire to listen to this again because it just becomes noise.
I love "Dancing Shoes" "still take you home" "riot van" "Mardy bum" and "A certain romance" but i don't really see myself coming back to this album much. Which I could give half starts
Girlfriend in a coma - Such fun, but I can't tell if it's fucked up lol
Honestly- I just like the smiths so i was a real easy lay on this on. But, it was really a pleasant listen. This is prob the first album I would listen to on my own but its such a joy.
I won't share you is very pretty
No one has a guitar sound like Brian May...
Never heard Father To Son before - excellent so many parts
how tf has ogre battle never been used in shrek, it's also amazing.
3.5 Stars really, its great but idk how much i'll go back to it.
They rock, still prefer rocket to russia as the b side of this I feel like is no where near as catchy. Biltzkrieg bop is an amazing amazing song. Really like the new mono mixes.
This is one of my favorite albums of all time, damn near perfect
4 stars easily for starfish and coffee
Listen, i have a hard time listening to all of Kate Bush in one go. I know the arrangements are good and interesting, but it makes me want to turn it off sometimes, yet this whole thing is great
