Pretty good socially conscious rap album. Verses regarding the beauty of earth and life and god. Uplifting, good beats, and I could see how this would be influential in its time. This era of more socially conscious rap is beautiful, like brand nubian, tribe called quest, jeru the demaja. I do feel as though this group is more godly and family friendly? A lot of the beats remind me of public enemy, so they must have been influenced by them. Pretty cool album though, less black social consciousness and more religious preaching rap? interesting intersection, and especially interesting to me since during this period a lot of Black artists would have been aligned with islam and the black brotherhood sort of mentality, retracing roots to Africa.
