Got taken off of Spotify but probably really good

Exceptional. Soulful.

Most songs sounded the same despite her undeniable talent and iconic status. I was surprised this didn't grab me.

I actually liked this alot more than I thought I would. I like the barebones instrumentals; twangy electric guitar, gentle fingerpicking, the occasional harmonica, xylophone or tambourine. I enjoy the subject matter of Springsteen's writing. I enjoy his vocals - he uses screaming and low crooning sparingly and to great effect. This seems to be a love letter to a life lived in a part of the world that irrevocably shaped him. On further research, I found he recorded this album in his home on tape - it is perfect for what he is conveying. The whole album is bookended perfectly by the title track, Nebraska, and Reason to Believe.

Absolutely sensational. Makes you understand why people loved to dance to Big Band and Swing. It takes you through the same sensations as techno and hardstyle. All the more remarkable that it's all being played with instruments.
