La Revancha Del Tango by Gotan Project
Nov 27 2025

An album purely for ambiance. The sound is evocative of some portuguese bands like Madredeus. However, it’s too bland, it could almost be considered drone, even if it is proficiently made.

In Utero by Nirvana
Nov 28 2025

Nirvana’s swan song comes as an evolution of the sound of Nevermind that seems like a step backwards. In Utero manages evoke the rawness characteristic of debut works, a rawness that I think is overdone and, in a way, artificial. It’s impossible to not think of Nevermind and ponder if In Utero is a sonic evolution that is worth having. In my opinion, it falls short and is a less cohesive, robust album than Nevermind. However, the sonic signature of Nirvana makes sure it is still a quality album, with elements that simply work together. Kurt’s voice is one of the best vehicles of grief and rage and the raw emotion that comes through it makes an album remarkable by its own right.

t's not really my cup of tea, as it has a big focus on lyrics. Easy listening, good vibes and doesn't sound too dated, albeit disjointed, which can be explained by the fact that one the LP sides is a collection of leftovers from a previous record.
