Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Dec 09 2025

I was amazed that wild horses is their original song and that I've spent my life annoyed that what's her name did the cover. I went back to try and find the rendition in my mind that I fist heard the cover back in 2012 or so at Wally's on serious XM Lithium it would play a lot just like that dude and the hallelujah song so often dam. anyways. she did a good job I just didn't know about Bridgers and Julian Dacus and such to really make sense of it. I grew up listening to bright eyes and Pedro and didn't know that women are doing it better! Karly Hartzmen is like quint. status. kRISTEN sTWEART IS a god. goodbye. LOOOKIT. at the end of the day I know they shaped the music industry but retroactively listening to this after all that's out I'm hard pressed to appreciate the "Rolling Stones ran so ya mother could cry" concept. I'm a flake on this album. thanks.

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Dec 10 2025

Some similarities to big thief and bright eyes obviously Dylan is the OG but still I have trouble accepting the old adage if it wasn't for Dylan we wouldn't have etc. also it's out of context who he was and how he reached people and I'll admit I'm not all there are keen on such cultural relevant aspects of our society.

British Steel by Judas Priest
Dec 11 2025

It was fine again not a huge fan of the past despite it shaping the future but I'm stilll tryna do my due diligence

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Dec 13 2025

not a fan especially with Leadbelly and blues hard to justify Zeppelin sometimes?

Dummy by Portishead
Dec 15 2025

This one was nice more my wheel house like the bits of disc scratch and smooth operator vibes

Midnight Ride by Paul Revere & The Raiders
Dec 17 2025

this was trash for me. I listened to it but idk, I'm all about the Beatles and any branch breakaway had better compliment them and sound good this just felt too similar like copying rather than emulating or hat tip I guess. Idk it's just not as nuanced. But they did a thing and I can't just disrespect them like that all and all some cool bits and bangs out of them. little more trebly than I wanted.

Groovin' by The Young Rascals
Dec 18 2025

It was nice. Recognized grooving
